| Q. Do all doors qualify for the Energy Tax Credit? |
| A. No, the doors must be insulated with a U Value of 0.30 or less and placed in service (not just ordered) before December 31, 2010. Residential customers only. |
| Q. Can I take my energy credit off the price of my door(s)? |
| A. No, the credit is taken through your tax return. See your accountant for details. |
| Q. How do I estimate the energy credit? |
| A. The Energy Credit is 30% of the Material Cost. |
| Q. How high an R Value do you carry? |
| A. We carry insulated doors with an R-Value from 5.9 to 17. |
| Q. What brands do you carry? |
| A. We carry: Haas, Clopay, Garaga, General Doors, EverDoor, Everite, Artisan, Richards-Wilcox, Windsor Republic, Amarr, Screen America and Janus Rolling Doors. |
| Q. How long does it take to get the door(s) in once we place the order? |
| A. For a Residential Door - Usually 2 to 4 weeks depending on the style and manufacturer. In a few cases a bit longer. For Commercial Doors - between 2 and 6 weeks. Again dependant on the item ordered. |
| Q. What styles do you carry? |
| A. We carry the Flush and Raised Panel Design and the Carriage House Style. We also have the decorative hardware. Commercial customers please call for details. |
| Q. I’m really tired of the mosquitoes and bugs. Do you have a garage door screen? |
| A. Yes we do! They are motorized screens and attach outside your garage door. They do not interfere with the operation of the door. |
| Q. How do I measure my door? |
| A. You must measure the frame. All measurements must be checked by an NEOD technician. This makes sure your door(s) fits and your not paying for a door that you can’t use. |
| Q. Do the doors come in colors besides White? |
| A. Yes, the standard colors are: White, Almond, Sandstone, Brown & Gray. We also have the Haas Door that comes in Bronze as well in certain models. It all depends on which style and model you pick out to enhance your home. |
| Q. Can I paint my door(s)? |
| A. Yes, you can. We will give you instructions on that. It starts with cleaning the surface of the door(s) with a diluted solution of Trisodium Phosphate and a 3M Synthetic Steel Wool – Must be Gray not green. |
| Q. How often does my door(s) need service? |
| A. We recommend a general maintenance be done yearly. |
| Q. I need a keypad with more than one code. Do they make these? |
| A. Yes they do. You can have the second code for the pet sitter, plant waterer, housekeeper or whomever you wish. |
| Q. Money is a bit tight; can I put in the Operator (Motor) in later? |
| A. Yes, but the price may change a bit. |
| Q. I have a bedroom above my garage. Do they make a quiet motor? |
| A. Yes, a LiftMaster belt drive motor is very quiet and we also carry the Cargo Motor which is extremely quiet. |
| Q. I lost my remote can I get a new one? |
| A. It depends on the brand of your operator (motor). We can replace most of them but need such information as Make, Model and Year of operator. |
| Q. I bought my own door(s) and/or motor(s). Will you install them for me? |
| A. Yes we will install these for you. Just call us for an estimate. But, remember, if you need extra parts, it’s parts plus sales tax additional to the installation labor. |
